The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA might be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency stated it can be alarmed regarding the substantial range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The assistance place designed for intervention activities a substantial influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to permit the servicing of all prospects and enhance entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
